Overall Value of the Experience:
"Speak as much as possible. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Don’t be shy because we are the foreign students and we have to take the extra step to give ourselves as many opportunities for learning as possible. Think positively. Don’t get discouraged if you feel the first month or two are not going well. It takes time for your body and mind to adjust and be motivated to do your best in making your stay enjoyable and memorable and rewarding."
Living in Tokyo:
"Tokyo is a great city to travel abroad. It has an endless number of things to do and is truly different from almost anything in the United States it seems. Foreigners are generally treated very well, especially if one is respectful of customs and tries to speak Japanese. The size and eccentricities of the city itself make it a very fun learning experience."
