Global Expertise Oregon - GEO Internships
Global Expertise Oregon (GEO) is an Oregon-based global internship program designed to enhance the global outreach of Oregon business, industry and organizations, strengthen export opportunities, and advance new international connections for Oregon while providing global interns with professional internship opportunities in Oregon.
The program is a collaboration of Oregon University System International Programs, international university partners around the world and Oregon business, industry and non-profit organizations.

A global internship is an opportunity to enhance your professional skills and expertise in your field of study. By participating in an internship in a US company or organization located in Oregon, USA, you can experience a unique professional, international and intercultural experience.

Why Oregon?
Oregon, located on the west coast of the United States, is situated above California and below Washington. Oregon is home to Portland, Oregon, one of the greenest cities in the US. The state also prides itself on its prosperous wine country and agricultural regions, beautiful mountain ranges, pristine natural coastal range, high desert, and fertile valleys. Oregon’s natural beauty and diversity is also reflected in the businesses and organizations that call Oregon home. Portland is the urban center and home to a vast number of international businesses and organizations, highlighted by its high density of outdoor and sports apparel companies, sustainability organizations, and advanced manufacturing. Portland and the Willamette Valley have also earned the nickname the “Silicon Forest” for its high density of global technology companies located here.
